The short version: Fidato is an insurance comparison and marketing service — not an insurance company. When you submit a quote request, we share the information you give us with licensed insurance agencies and marketing partners so they can contact you about coverage. That sharing is the service. This policy explains what we collect, who we share it with, and how to stop it.

Who we are
Fidato (“Fidato,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates this website as an insurance comparison and lead generation service. We are not an insurance company, agency, or broker. We do not sell insurance, issue policies, bind coverage, or make underwriting or claims decisions. Our role is to collect your quote request and connect you with licensed insurance agencies and other marketing partners who can present coverage options to you.
This Privacy Policy applies to this website and the quote request form on it. It does not govern what a partner agency does with your information after we transmit it — each partner has its own privacy policy and its own obligations to you.
Information we collect
Information you give us
When you complete our quote form, we collect the information you enter, which may include:
- Contact details — first and last name, email address, and phone number.
- Property details — street address, unit, city, state, and ZIP code, plus property type, age, square footage, number of stories, current coverage status, and claims history.
- Demographic details — date of birth, gender, and marital status.
- Self-reported credit rating — a general range you select (Excellent, Good, Average, or Poor). This is your own estimate collected on our form; selecting it does not trigger any inquiry.
- Credit-based insurance score — when you submit the form, you authorize us and our partners to obtain a credit-based insurance score about you from a consumer reporting agency (see FCRA authorization). This is a soft inquiry used to prepare insurance quotes and verify identity. It is not a hard credit pull, does not affect your credit score, and does not appear to lenders as a hard inquiry.
- Vehicle and driver details — if you request an auto quote: number of vehicles and drivers, vehicle year, make, model, primary use, annual mileage, accident and violation history, and current insurer.
- Consent record — the exact consent language shown to you, the page URL, and the date and time you submitted the form.
Information collected automatically
- Usage and device data — IP address, approximate location derived from your IP, browser and device type, pages viewed, time on page, and referring URL.
- Advertising parameters — campaign, keyword, and click identifiers passed in the page's web address (for example, utm_source, gclid, or fbclid), used to measure which ads produce quote requests.
- Call information — if you call the number on this site, we and our call-tracking provider collect your phone number, the date, time, and duration of the call, and the advertising campaign that drove it.
Information from third parties
We use third-party services to verify that the email address and phone number you submit are valid and reachable, and to determine whether a phone number is a mobile or landline. We may also receive information from advertising platforms about how you reached this site.
How we use information
- To match your request with licensed insurance agencies and marketing partners and transmit your request to them.
- To contact you about your quote request by phone, text, or email.
- To verify the accuracy of your contact information and detect fraudulent or automated submissions.
- To create and retain a record of your consent, in case we need to demonstrate compliance.
- To measure, attribute, and improve our advertising and this website.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.
How we share and sell information
Please read this section carefully. Fidato is a lead generation service. We share — and, under the definitions used by several state privacy laws, sell — the personal information you submit to licensed insurance agencies and marketing partners in exchange for compensation. This is the core of how the service works and how it is funded.
Specifically, we may disclose the information described above to:
- Licensed insurance agencies and agents in our partner network, who will contact you about coverage options. More than one agency may receive your request and contact you.
- Marketing partners and downstream lead buyers, including other lead aggregators, who may in turn share your request with their own agency clients.
- Service providers acting on our behalf — including our form automation, CRM, call tracking, hosting, analytics, and contact verification providers.
- Advertising platforms — in the form of conversion and measurement events, which may include hashed identifiers, as described under Cookies, pixels, and tracking.
- Legal and safety recipients — where required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to investigate fraud or protect our rights.
- A successor entity — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.
Once your information has been transmitted to a partner, that partner controls its own use of it. Asking Fidato to delete your information does not delete it from a partner's systems — you would need to contact that partner directly. We will help you identify who received your request if you ask.
Our marketing partners
The companies below may receive your quote request and contact you at the phone number and email address you provide. This list is maintained as part of the consent disclosure on our quote form and is updated as our network changes.

Cookies, pixels, and tracking
We and our providers use cookies and similar technologies to understand how visitors interact with our advertising and this site:
- Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram) — measures which ads produce quote requests and calls, and supports ad delivery and retargeting.
- Google Ads and Google tag — measures ad conversions and supports remarketing audiences.
- CallRail — supplies the phone number displayed on this site and attributes your call to the advertising campaign that drove it.
- Google Maps Places — powers address autocomplete on the quote form.
- Contact verification services — check that the email address and phone number you enter are valid and deliverable.
- Zapier — routes your submitted request into our systems and to partners.
- IP lookup services — when you submit the quote form, we call a third-party service (such as ipify) to determine the public IP address your request came from. Partners require this to validate the lead and to evidence your consent.
You can limit cookies through your browser settings, reset or delete your advertising identifier through your device settings, and manage ad personalization through each ad platform's privacy controls. Blocking cookies will not stop a partner from contacting you if you submitted the quote form — for that, see Calls and texts.
Calls and texts (TCPA)
When you submit the quote form, you provide prior express written consent for Fidato and the agencies and marketing partners we share your request with to contact you at the number you provided — including by automatic telephone dialing system, prerecorded or artificial voice, text message, and email — even if your number is on a federal, state, or internal Do Not Call list. Consent is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply.
How to revoke consent
You may revoke consent at any time, by any reasonable means. Any of the following works:
- Reply STOP to any text message you receive from us.
- Tell any agent on a call that you want to be removed.
- Call us at (877) 498-3632 and ask to revoke consent.
We will honor a revocation request as to Fidato promptly and within the time required by law. Because your request may already have been transmitted to partners, revoking consent with us does not automatically stop contact from a partner who received your request — tell that caller directly to stop, and they are independently required to honor it.
Calls to or from the number on this site may be recorded or monitored for quality, training, and compliance. By calling, you consent to that recording.
Do Not Call
We maintain an internal Do Not Call list and honor federal and state Do Not Call requirements. If you ask to be placed on our internal Do Not Call list, we will honor that request and retain it for at least five years. Call (877) 498-3632 to make that request.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights over the personal information we hold about you:
- Know and access — confirm whether we process your personal information and obtain a copy, including the categories of third parties we disclosed it to.
- Correct — fix inaccuracies in your personal information.
- Delete — request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal exceptions (we retain consent records as described under Data retention).
- Portability — obtain a portable copy of the information you provided.
- Opt out — opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information and of targeted advertising and certain profiling.
- Non-discrimination — we will not deny you service or provide a different level of service because you exercised a privacy right.
- Appeal — if we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision, and in some states you may then complain to your state attorney general.
Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have these rights under their state statutes; we extend them to all U.S. residents as a matter of practice. To exercise any right, call (877) 498-3632 or write to us at the address below. We will verify your identity by matching the information you give us against what we hold, and we will respond within the time required by applicable law (generally 45 days). An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with proof of authorization.
Do not sell or share my information
Fidato sells and shares personal information as those terms are defined by California and other state privacy laws. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.
To opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, call (877) 498-3632, email support@fidatoleads.com, or email privacy@REPLACE-DOMAIN.com with the subject line “Do Not Sell or Share.”
We also honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser or extension sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of sale and sharing for that browser.
Note the timing: if you have already submitted the quote form, your request has likely already been transmitted to partners. Opting out stops future sale or sharing by Fidato; it does not retrieve information already delivered.
FCRA authorization — credit-based insurance score
Insurers in most states use a credit-based insurance score as one factor in pricing home and auto coverage. When you submit the quote form, you provide written instruction under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) authorizing Fidato and the partners we share your request with to obtain a credit-based insurance score about you from a consumer reporting agency, for the permissible purpose of preparing insurance quotes and verifying your identity.
This authorization covers a soft inquiry only. It does not result in a hard credit pull, does not affect your credit score, is not visible to lenders as a hard inquiry, and does not by itself produce a full consumer credit report or FICO score for you or the partner. If a partner separately intends to obtain a full consumer credit report, that partner must obtain its own authorization from you.
You may decline this authorization by not submitting the form. If you have already submitted and wish to withdraw it, email support@fidatoleads.com or call (877) 498-3632, though we may be unable to reverse a score already obtained.
Data retention
We retain quote request data and the associated consent record for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, and for at least five years where retention is necessary to demonstrate compliance with telemarketing and consent regulations or to defend against claims. Web analytics and advertising data are retained according to each platform's standard retention period. When we no longer need information, we delete or de-identify it.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information you submit, including encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send us sensitive information such as Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, or financial account numbers through this website.
Children's privacy
This site is intended for adults age 18 and older. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, call us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. If we make a material change to how we share your information, we will provide notice as required by law.
